A REALLY BIG hanging cheese basket in
green paint. Picture a big wheel of cheese
in it. Quite an unusual shape. These were
used to drain the whey. The paint has been
on it for a very long time. Excellent condition.

The handle is attached to pail by
diamond
escutcheons typical Shaker construction.
Top and
bottom metal bands hold in together.
One of the
things I (SC) most prize out of my own
collection.
I have never seen another decorated
like this.

Blue spatterware teapot with red thistle pattern.
The bottom has a couple of hairlines but they do
not go all the way through (click on image to see
more views). Admittedly not a rare pattern, but it
is also not as expensive as most spatterware.
