Full figure silhouette dated 1840 and signed by William Henry Brown, reputed to be the foremost silhouettist in American history. This is of the cut- and-paste variety with white highlights. It was once part of the historic Elizabeth L. Maurier collection started in the 19th century and added to up to 1925.
