Full figure silhouette dated 1840 and signed by
William Henry Brown, reputed to be the foremost silhouettist in American history. This is of the cut-and-paste variety with white highlights. It was
once part of the historic Elizabeth L. Maurier
collection started in the 19th century and added
to up to 1925. It was subsequently owned by
Dr. Milton Grow of NJ, who was a scholar and
